As SMG shareholder, STUC "gravely concerned" at redundancies announcement
In response to the recent announcement of 59 redundancies at SMG, Grahame Smith, Deputy General Secretary of the Scottish TUC said:
"I find it very difficult to reconcile the announcement of these redundancies with the positive statement made to the stock exchange on 8 December. In this instance, redundancy is not only a personal tragedy for the individuals involved but Scotland's citizens will suffer from the drop in quality of output that is bound to occur as a result."
