ST ANDREW'S DAY MARCH AND RALLY AGAINST RACISM & FASCISM
SATURDAY 26th NOVEMBER 2005 March assembles 10.30am, Blythswood Square, Glasgow March off 11.00am to celebration in Trades Hall, Glassford Street, 12 noon
The STUC is once again proud to be organising the Annual St Andrew's Day event against racism and fascism in Scotland.
Mary Senior, Assistant Secretary of the Scottish TUC said "We are delighted that the Glasgow Anti Racist Alliance is sponsoring this years event and hope that as many people as possible will participate in the march and celebration, to give a visible sign that there is no place for racism in Scotland."
This year's event aims to appeal to a wider audience.
Following the traditional anti racist march through Glasgow's streets, participants will enjoy themselves and celebrate Scotland's equality and diversity at the Trades Hall in Glassford Street. The STUC has lined up a range of activities for young and old alike, so families will be able to join us · for a refreshment and a bite to eat, · to help paint the One Workplace banner, · to browse round the solidarity stalls and exhibitions, · be entertained by pupils of St Aloysius Primary School Springburn, and enjoy the other musical accompaniment on the day.
